Approximate Distance From Where You Are: 337.22 Kilometer

These little known minarets called the Brick Minars are visible from the Ahmedabad Railway Station’s platform number one. This pair of minarets is unique in being built from brick, perhaps the only towers in the city that are made of bricks.  They are often mistaken for being the shaking minarets.

These minarets were erected in the 15th century. They probably stood over a mosque that now no longer exists.

The towers are visible from the Ahmedabad Railway Station at Kalupur. Though badly damaged by the impact of the 2001 Earthquake they are still a prominent structure with some unique architectural features. Above the base, there are ornamental arched niches and carvings. At each level, there are projecting balconies supported by ornate brackets. The walls bear fine carvings and friezes. Seen from a distance, the minarets make an impressive sight framed by trees.
