Hatkeshwar Mandir is one of the historical temples in the walled city of Ahmedabad.

This Shiva temple was built during the Maratha period. Many legends are associated with this temple. Devotees believe that the Shiva Linga here emerged from the earth making this an important place of worship.

Though this is a Maratha-era temple the architectural style follows that of the Solanki dynasty that ruled Gujarat in the 11th and 12th centuries. The entrance pavilion is a cross-shaped mandapa. A well-carved shikhara tower stands over the sanctuary.

The building was restored as part of a collaboration between Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation with a French heritage project.
